2008 Winners and testimonials

The Hire Association Europe's (HAE) Hire Awards of Excellence 2008, sponsored by Lavendon Access Services, was an event not to be missed with over 270 guests attending the annual awards evening.

The sell-out event which took place at the prestigious Landmark London on May 10, saw 14 key players from the industry take home the sought-after prizes.

With the BBC's Ray Stubbs and former Liverpool player Mark Lawrenson providing some light entertainment and presenting the evening's ceremony, many HAE guests thought the 2008 event was the best in the Association's history.

Once the main award presentations had finished, HAE Chairman Claire Gains took to the stage to address the guests and make her own special presentation. The Chairman's Award for Outstanding Contribution to the Association and the Hire Industry was awarded to Terry Douris of Stage Two Hire. Claire and Terry ended the evening with a heartfelt toast to the event's sponsors, guests, the Association and the Industry.
